Sankara Ancient Knowledge and Sanskrit Academy (SAKSA) is IET’s Centre of Excellence for Sanskrit and Bhagavad Gītā Studies.

Vision:

  • To revive and preserve India’s ancient wisdom through structured Sanskrit learning.
  • To inspire the new generation to engage with timeless texts, and engage in Bhagavad Gītā studies and it’s teachings.

What is SAKSA

Sanskrit Language Courses

All Sanskrit Language courses include formal enrolment, evaluations, and a certificate issued upon successful completion | Each level is carefully designed to deepen your grasp of the language while aligning with your pace and purpose.

Beginner Level

Start with the Sanskrit script, basic grammar, and everyday sentence construction. No prior knowledge needed.

Intermediate Level

Deepen your grammar, expand your vocabulary, and begin reading short classical texts in their original form.

Bhagavad Gītā - Shankara Bhashyam

A rigorous, in-depth course that explores the Bhagavad Gītā. The programme focuses on grammar, interpretation, and philosophical context – offering both linguistic beauty and intellectual depth. 

While it is ideal for students with prior Sanskrit knowledge, newcomers are equally welcome. For those unfamiliar with the language, the faculty will recite the ślokas and provide clear translation and explanation, ensuring every learner can engage meaningfully with the texts.

Bhashana Samskritam

This course is designed for learners with a basic understanding of Sanskrit who wish to develop fluency in spoken Sanskrit. Through a structured and interactive approach, participants can significantly improve their conversational skills within six months and continue their learning for one to two years to become proficient speakers. We provide individual attention to every student, ensuring personalized guidance and steady progress.

Vedic Course in Krishna Yajurveda

A focused programme on the complete study of the Krishna Yajurveda, designed to support consistent learning through clear instruction and regular chanting practice.

Dr V. Sridhar

Dr V. Sridhar – Head, Centre of Excellence for Sanskrit and Bhagavad Gita (SAKSA) and former Principal, KSN Senior Secondary School.

A veteran Sanskrit scholar with over 30 years of experience, Dr. Sridhar has taught across schools, colleges, and international universities. His education includes a Master’s degree in Advaita Vedānta from the Madras Sanskrit College and a doctorate focused on Ethical Values in the Upanishads pertaining to Education. He also underwent the rigorous Kramānta Krishna Yajur Veda Adhyayanam at the Kanchi Kamakoti Peetham. Aside from serving in schools, Dr. V. Sridhar specialized in the study of the Bhagavad Gita and the Upanishads, which he often blended with his real world experiences to mentor several professionals and executives on stress management and productivity enhancement.
